Taking one stitch at a time

Update time!

I suppose I should update you on what is going on with me and my stitching. I finished the top part to the Patriotic biscornu. I finished this top part on July 9, 2008. I haven't stitched the bottom part as of yet. I will get to it soon.

I finished a baby quilt square for someone on a cross stitch message board. It is a design by Ellen Maurer-Stroh. It is from the Babybook "Zoo" Motif Monkey. I used 18 count Aida fabric and DMC floss.

I don't seem to be getting much stitching done lately at all. The reason is I have found an awesome program called Paint Shop Pro and Animation shop. These are the coolest programs to help you learn how to play with pictures and graphics. For instance I learned how to use PSP to do something called just explode. I learned this technique through a tutorial by Daisy from her website. I used her Katy Kitty tubes to create the just explode tutorial.

isn't he cute? Do you like how he changes colors? I also learned how to use the flip tutorial for my name which you will find at the bottom of my post.

I am really enjoying doing things like this lately which is taking my stitching time away. I will get back to serious stitching when the weather cools way down. I don't like to ride my bike when it is to cold outside. It doesn't get cold around here until November or December.

It is 10:30pm here and Bill,William and I promised to help a friend move tomorrow.
Good Night all,

I finished my first Floral Emery!

I finished putting it together yesterday afternoon. I think it turned out okay for someone like me who isn't great at sewing. I want to do another one. Anita from Anita's Little Stitches is featured in the Gift of Stitching online Magazine With a new design called Mini Quaker Flowers Collection. The Mini Quaker Flower Emery is featured in the magazine. I think it looks really cool. Yes, I placed an order with Anita. I couldn't resist.

Here is my completed Floarl Emery. I used 28 count fabric. I used beads and ribbon from the Emery Collection 1 accessory pack.

What shall I stitch up next? I want to stitch the Patriotic Biscornu with the cover button I purchased from Anita. I have never done a cover button and I am ready for a new adventure. I just hope it doesn't take me so long.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your comments!

I'm here!

Can you believe it? Yes, I am here and I have put in the final stitches to the emery that I last posted about. I added a bead last night. Hopefully if all goes well this weekend I will add the rest of the beads and try to stitch the emery all together. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Here is the latest picture.

I am still into riding my bike. I have now rode over 1,000 miles so far this year. I am so excited because last year I only logged in a total of 2,000 miles. You can read more here at this link.

Thank you for stopping by and hopefully when I post again this emery will be finished. Have a wonderful weekend!
