We are on VACATION!

Hello Stitchers!

Tomorrow we leave for Maine. We will be gone at least 5 weeks. We will be stopping first in Virginia to see my Uncle and Aunt. Then we will be on our way to Maine to see Bill's family. Here is the truck we will be packing with lots of stuff including two bikes. We can't leave home without our bikes.



Now for a stitching update. Last Friday I started the Mary Wigham Forever SAL. I only got a little done Friday,Saturday and Sunday. I have been so busy this week with packing and getting things ready for vacation. Did I mention that yet?

Here is my start. I am going to have so much fun stitching on this during the drive. I have all my supplies packed and ready.



I am stitching this on 32 Count Jobelan Lambswool. Started this in California. I will have updates when possible.

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who posted and left me kind words. It meant a lot to me and helped to ease the pain.

I have been stitching. A few weeks ago I pulled out an old WIP. It is Spiritdancer by marilyn Leavitt-Imblum. I started stitching on this June 18, 2007. My last update was 4-26-2008.



I have been stitching off and on for a few weeks. Here is my update as of June 8, 2009.



I still have a long way to go. This is one of those patterns you have to do a little at a time.

In 11 days my husband, son and I are going on Vacation. We will be driving from California to Maine. My husband's family live in Maine and New Hampshire. We haven't been back there in 6 years. We are so ready for it!

I was thinking about what I wanted to stitch in the truck as we traveled. I was thinking about bringing the Spiritdancer. This one has row after row of color changes. I also got to thinking if something happened to this my husband and I would be so devastated. He is the one who wanted me to stitch this one.

Then while I was surfing the net I came across a really neat SAL. It is called Mary Wigham forever SAL. The information can be found on Needleprint's blog. Shari will be hosting the USA version of this SAL. I plan on taking a picture at each spot that I will be stitching at along the way. I ordered my fabric for the SAL last Wednesday. I am hoping they get it to me before we leave.

My Mom is now at peace. She will be watching over us from heaven. I love you Mom. You will be missed by many.

Thank you everyone for leaving your name. I had so much fun while she was here visting me. Ms. Sisterhood brought me comfort when I really needed it. I will be sorry to see her leave. It is a special honor to be a part of the sisterhood. I am now passing her on. I put the names into a hat and had my son draw a name.




Ms. Sisterhood's bags are packed and her next destination is to Sharon in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Congratulations Sharon!
