Hello Everyone,
I have an update on Spiritdancer and let me tell you that I have taken the last few days off from stitching on this one. It has been up and down with the beading. I have moments where everything is going along fine and then Wham it all stops. I either get a knot in the thread or I put the wrong color bead on or whatever you can think of it happens. There were moments where I REALLY thought about just forgetting about the whole thing. Then I quickly come to my senses(whatever those are)and I calm down and just continue. Just think I still have more beading to go! Anyway I think taking this break from it has helped clear my mind. I was hoping to get this finished before the end of the year. It may not happen. I still have the side of the chair to finish some beading near the pots and then I have to add 4 more rows of beads on the end of her skirt including the fringe. I need some good stitching vibes to come my way! So here is how she looks as of today.

Last week there was a bright spot in my day as I got a Christmas card and a small handmade gift from a dear friend Cucki. She is such a sweet heart and knows how to brighten someone's day. I am thankful for her friendship. In the stitching world you will find the nicest people around the world. I enjoy each friendship and cherish them. I feel lucky.
The other night as I was watching the replay on PBS of Downton Abbey season 2 I stitched on the Mary Wigham sampler. You know what starts in January? Downton Abbey season 3! I can't wait! I love this series so much drama. Is anyone else going to be watching? Who is your favorite character? Mine is Violet, Dowager Countess of Grantham. She has so much wit and spunk for her age. I love it and my favorite saying is "Put that in your pipe and smoke it." I wonder what Shirley McClain's character will be like? Yes, I am a huge fan of Downton Abbey!Anyone else going to be watching?
Thank you for stopping by and listening to me and see what I have been up to. I hope you get lots of stitching in between the shopping and decorating for this Holiday Season!
Hugs,
Carolyn

Wonderful progress. I often find that if things aren't going well that I have to pu my project down and then come back to it the next day.
What a sweet surprise from cucki!!
You will love series 3 of Downtown. It is brilliant. I love Violet. She is brilliant and her one liners are fantastic!
Lovely progress on Spiritdancer.
Spiritdancer is gorgeous! Sometimes it's good to put a piece down for awhile. I'm glad you got back to her.

Spiritdancer looks wonderful! You're making fantastic progress. Love the little gift from Cucki!
Downton--only one of my all time favorite shows!! I think my favorite character is Violet, too. She is so funny. We (I'm in Ireland) had the third series already, we're just eagerly awaiting the Christmas episode.
Spirit Dancer is looking great, worth all the trouble.
I'm not a follower of Downton Abbey, not a fan of reality shows because obviously I live like that all the time LOL.
More like the servants' lives to be honest!
Spiritdancer is looking great, the beading will be worth the end result.
Sweet gift from Cucki :)
Love Downton and Season 3 was wonderful, you will enjoy it too!
Spiritdancer is AMAZING. Looking forward to following.
Yes, we are lucky to know Cucki, aren't we? I received a cute happy mitten, too!
